The bill that nobody read has become the bill that doesn’t exist:

Texas Republican Reps. Joe Barton and Louie Gohmert have just asked the chair whether there exists a complete, updated copy of the Waxman-Markey carbon-cap bill.

“If a bill for which there is no copy were to actually pass this body,” Barton asked, “could the bill without a copy be sent to the Senate for its consideration?”

John Hinderaker at Power Line sums it up: “The manner in which the Democrats have run the House since taking control in 2007 has been disgraceful.”

All of North Carolina’s House Democrats supported this bill, but two from vulnerable districts — McIntrye and Kissell — were allowed to vote against it by the leadership after it was determined their votes weren’t needed. Remember that in 2010 when they claim they were against cap and trade.
