As the country prepares to hear from Harriet Miers, now that she’s been nominated by President Bush to take the seat of retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, some conservatives are less than thrilled. “It would have been more exciting to see a nominee with a clear, well-thought-out judicial philosophy,” said John Hood to the Charlotte Observer. “Bush’s people are saying, ‘trust us.’” Meantime, Donna Martinez discussed Miers with WPTF-AM’s Kevin Miller Thursday morning, telling Miller her biggest concern is how Miers views the Constitution—something that is unclear.
