D.A. Jeff Hunt said people are calling criminal defendants on published court dockets who are either awaiting trial or who have paid off judgments and traffic citations, and urging them to wire funds to the caller because the defendants owe additional fines or court costs. Hunt said the court system does not accept wired funds to pay fines or court costs.
