Let me see if I’m following the logic here:
Gov. Easley wants to reduce the amount of lottery money going toward education to encourage more people to play the lottery so there will be more money for education. Uh-huh.
Meanwhile, Guilford County Schools wonders where $2 million of its lottery proceeds went. I will say this much for system CFO Sharon Ozment: She did indeed warn the board school board it wasn’t getting as much as projected.
We could see this coming, couldn’t we?
