Yesterday, it was reported that the Henderson County Commissioners had acknowledged lower valuations would mean higher taxes or reduced services for those they represent. Today, we learn the board budgeted $750,000 for capital improvements for its recreation department. [The] commissioners said they recognized that community groups around the county have worked hard to improve recreation facilities and it was time for the county to contribute.
