In your latest scandal from Raleigh, state Rep. Tricia Cotham (D) — daughter of former Mecklenburg County Democratic Party chair John Cotham, she was named the replacement for convicted felon Jim Black in March — may or may not have been groped by a drunken GOP lawmaker at a Raleigh steakhouse.
Better still, the supposed groper, state Rep. Joe Boylan, is the man who sent former Black ally Richard Morgan home from the state house.
The details are beyond sketchy even given this rambling account in a Southern Pines paper, but it does appear that Boylan apologized to Cotham for something.
I swear, it is like a junior high up there.
Bonus Observation: Is Cotham still a full-time employee of CMS? How does that work, exactly? It would be interesting to know if she thinks her General Assembly cohorts act more or less mature than her former students at East Meck or Independence.
