Expect more of this if South Carolina Democrats foolishly turn the Alvin Greene mess into a pointless voting machine-error debacle:
The key to Greene’s victory, you see, is that he got more votes. How do liberals imagine Republicans pulled that off? Mesmerize the Democrats into voting for an idiot? If they could do that, John McCain would be president.
The bottomline is that Jim DeMint was gonna smoke whomever the Dems threw up against him. Jumping through hoops and spending tons of money just to get Vic Rawl in front of that steamroller makes no political or civic sense. Greene might embarrass the hell out of Rep. Jim Clyburn, but a full-fledged witch hunt for voting “errors” could be even more embarrassing for the entire state.
