No, I don’t quite understand it either, but that is what is going down at this hour at the Gov Center. Surprise, surprise — county revenue has come in light, exactly what we’ve been saying was bound to happen when the working assumption was that double-digit revenue growth was a birthright.
As for the public TV expansion, it’ll take days to figure out what is being proposed. From the sound of it, county commissioners do not understand it either, but are taking staff’s word for it. Super.
Update: The number is $63 million. That’s the amount the county will attempt to reduce spending by in order to avoid a tax hike in an election year.
