A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has affirmed a lower-court ruling against the members and coaches of the Northern Guilford High School basketball team, who were seeking reinstatement of their 2009 state title.

The N.C. High School Athletic Association stripped the title after learning that two players were ineligible to compete for Northern Guilford because they lived outside the school’s attendance zone.

Appellate judges agreed with the trial court that the team had no standing to pursue its lawsuit.
