According to the local daily:

Speakers at the 15th annual Asheville Metro Economy Outlook on Thursday didn’t focus on the future. Instead, the talk focused on the regional economic development successes of the immediate past – and the job numbers to prove it.

We are told the greatest contributors to the increase in jobs and investment are recipients of corporate welfare: Linamar, New Belgium, and GE Aviation. The first “expects to,” the second “announced plans for,” and the third “will bring” many, many jobs (direct, indirect, induced, adduced, interlocuted, etc.).
