So Yes!Weekly editor Brian Clarey says the Troublemaker’s “credibility has always been for s*** in many, many people’s eyes.”

Well, let’s see what we have from Clarey’s publication: A double-bylined, rushed-to-the stand follow-up to a story broken by another alternative weekly, written with a breaking lead but made up mostly of stuff taken from local blogs. Yeah, they got quotes from former Carolina Peacemaker editor Hal Seiber calling Holder a loose cannon, but everybody already knows that.

Talk about credibility for s***. Making matters worse is this lame attempt at humor toward those who have spoken out against the Truth and Reconciliation process.

Yeah, I was surprised as anybody to find out that Holder wore a wire for the GPD. I’ve quoted him on this blog before because, damn it, the N&R sure doesn’t write about t his stuff. I considered him an objective, credible source. I can’t do that now, and I don’t see how anyone can. If he wants to be a journalist, fine. If he wants to be a blogger, fine. If he wants to be an activist, fine. He can do whatever he wants. But it’s clear from the comments on other blogs that his ego’s growing with his notoriety, so I just wonder if the work he does from now on will be to feed that ego more than anything else.
