The Tax Foundation has released a new Fiscal Fact (their equivalent of a Spotlight) analyzing the impact of Cuno v. DaimlerChrysler, a recent federal court ruling banning Ohio from using tax credits to attract business investment to the state.
Quoting the Tax Foundation: “The court ruled the Ohio tax credit violates the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution?casting doubt on the future of tax competition and opening the door to court-imposed state tax uniformity in the future.”
