Getting ready for work this morning I was listening to local talk radio and noticed the greetings from troops in Iraq never once mentioned Christmas. There were probably a dozen soldiers who wished “Happy Holidays” to family, friends, and fiances back home, but not a single whisper of which holiday they meant.

Anyone know if this is command policy this year? For the number of N.C. soldiers we heard from, I’m surprised at the uniformity of this unfamiliar greeting.

Update
But don’t miss John Hood’s column in Carolina Journal Online today, “Getting the Christmas Politics Wrong”. John gets them very right.
