Having listened to the Rather interview with Donna on WPTF this morning, he didn’t just not agree, he vehemently denied that he did anything wrong. Rather went on to say that that all subsequent investigations into the matter have verified that he (Dan Rather) was correct in his allegations.
He at first said he, “believed the allegations about Bush to be true” and then changed that to say, “they are true” that it wasn’t a belief.
It was a heated exchange.
What was clear was that Rather disagreed with his former boss’s assessment of the story and that he believes he did nothing wrong.
