I didn’t hear this on WPTF myself, but Bob Owens at Confederate Yankee says Dan Rather defended his widely ridiculed reporting of the Texas Air National Guard story from September 2004. Bob writes:
Rather not only defended the report, but the validity of the forged
documentation that the report relied on, saying it had never been
proven false (despite copious evidence to the contrary).
And I thought Halloween was over.
