Looks like Billy Prim has found three new investors to take over Flip Filipowski’s share of the Winston-Salem Dash.
Meanwhile, the Winston-Salem Journal ponders Phase II of Prim’s taxpayer-funded downtown stadium mixed-use project, cautioning that taxpayers “celebrate the ballpark opening and a successful season of ticket sales first.” The Journal also quotes Mayor Allen Joines warning “there is ‘absolutely no way’ that the city would help pay for parking ‘without being covered financially.'”
If the mayor says so. But that’s exactly what cities do —pay without covering themselves financially.
