Davidson County is on the Corporate Welfare Express, according to this article out of Lexington:

In
an effort to attract 250 jobs, keep 55 existing positions and attract
millions of dollars of investment, the Davidson County Board of
Commissioners approved three economic development incentive grants at a
meeting Tuesday night.

The county board agreed to offer Vitacost.com a package worth up to
$77,500 over five years if the Internet-based nutritional supplement
retailer invests $5.7 million in a new plant or plant expansion,
machinery and equipment and create 150 new jobs with wages above the
county average – about $28,500.

So commissioners in Davidson County just LOVE the taxpayers to foot the bill on this project.
