They’ve got recreation issues down in Davidson County, too, though not to the tune of a $26 million greenway.
Davidson County commissioners denied a request by the parks and recreation department to apply for a $25,000 grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation that would go toward a skate park in Denton. That request came with another request for a $66,000 “donation” from the county.
Meanwhile this Lexington Dispatch editorial says the City of Lexington will “encounter some difficult choices” if the municipal golf course doesn’t start supporting itself following a $2 million renovation.
