Update: Note I didn’t use the “D” word in the post about Randy Wolfe. Neither did the AP in its write-up. But the fact that Wolfe is “a former producer for the CBS Evening News” pretty much says it all.

*The N&R endorses Richard Burr for Senate;

*Appearing in the Triad, challenger Elaine Marshall says the election is about the survival of the middle class;

*State House District 90 candidate Randy Wolfe is arrested not once but twice for DUI over the weekend;

*Crazy as it sounds, the Rhino endorses Garth Hebert and Ed Price in the District 2 Guilford County school board race:

Price has an enormous amount of energy and seems to absorb documents. It would be great if the school board could have both Price and Hebert, but that isn’t possible. In this case Hebert seems to have lost some of his zeal, and it may be that he is just tired of beating his head against a wall. Price is full of zeal and energy and doesn’t seem to have any problem questioning people.

Whoever wins, the people of District 2 will be well represented on the school board.

*Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce President Gayle Anderson and Forsyth County Commissioner Dave Plyler urge voters to support the bond for a new public library;

*Record early voting in Guilford County.
