strong economy, including today’s news that GDP growth in the third
quarter was actually 4.3 percent, even stronger than the original
estimate of 3.8 percent. Two stories yesterday on home sales: “Home Sales Fall 2.7%, Suggesting a Drag on ’06 Economy” and “Sales of New Homes Stay Strong
in October, Setting Record
.”

Today, the story about economic growth is under the headline: “Upbeat Signs Hold Cautions for the Future.” The story has an accompanying graphic: “Up for Now” 

No wonder Larry Kudlow is wondering about the president’s silence.
