Listeners to Bill LuMaye’s WPTF Radio afternoon talk show had a chance Tuesday to hear a debate about the Center for Local Innovation’s most recent By The Numbers report. Center director and John Locke Foundation Vice President Chad Adams spent an hour defending the report against criticism from the N.C. Budget and Tax Center. Adams also took his expertise about local tax burdens on the road for public speeches. Meanwhile, JLF Fiscal Policy Analyst Joseph Coletti took part in a “written debate” on targeted tax incentives. The magazine Global Corporate Xpansion called on Coletti’s expertise to make the case against giveaways that allow government to pick economic winners and losers.
