The growing influence of internet bloggers has some in the traditional media warning of the demise of so-called “real” journalism. In a commentary published at Charlotte.com, Jeff A. Taylor wrote that columnist Kathleen Parker’s concern over the zealous nature of some bloggers misses the point about what they bring to the marketplace of ideas. “From Brian’s Political Donnybrook and Collective Sigh on the left to the Charlotte Capitalist and the Locke Foundation’s own Locker Room on the right, if you can’t find a blog to suit your own outlook then, well, you should start your own blog!” Taylor advised.
