That’s one of the musty political myths that will have to be discarded in the wake of Obama’s executive order that shuts out non-union firms from having a shot at federal contracts. This is blatant favoritism that discriminates against non-union firms. The Wall Street Journal has an excellent editorial on it today.
Many Americans thought Obama was a high-minded visionary who would only do (brilliant) things to help the nation. What we have seen instead is a politician who gladly practices shameless Tammany Hall style politics. I knew I wouldn’t like Obama, but did not expect to come to loathe him as I now do.
