Yesterday, the NC Department of Health and Human Services released an updated version of its StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit (K-12). The updated version included requirements not specified in the original June 8 document, including:
Discontinue in-person activities that involve bringing together large groups of people or activities that do not allow for social distancing (assemblies, performances, field trips, etc .)
This suggests that schools conducting in-person instruction will not be allowed to have concert band or chorus classes. Presumably, smaller ensembles, such as jazz bands or small show choirs, could remain.
