• The Karl Rove-founded American Crossroads/Crossroads GPS is spending $10 million nationally attacking Democratic Senate incumbents, $3.5 million of it in North Carolina highlighting Kay Hagan’s support of Obamacare. The first ad here is below.

• The culturally conservative Women’s Speak Out PAC is joining with the NC Values Coalition to urge pro-life women to vote against Hagan.

• The Senate Majority PAC, which has been running an ad supporting Hagan that’s been called false by several fact-checking outfits, got a $5 million check from San Francisco-based billionaire climate-change fighter and hedge-fund manager Thomas Steyer.

• 2nd Congressional District Democratic nominee Clay Aiken says he hasn’t been paying attention to the Veterans Administration roiling Washington.

• The sheriffs of Guilford and Alamance counties have endorsed Mark Walker in his GOP runoff election against Phil Berger Jr. in the 6th Congressional District.
