North Carolina distilleries moved a step closer to being able to sell a limited quantity of their spirits at their location Monday night.
The state Senate approved a bill allowing them to sell a customer one bottle of spirits during a 12-month period. The bill passed by a 40-7 vote. It now goes back to the House for a final vote.
