The Charlotte Observer reports that so far potential vendors haven’t gotten much information about selling their wares during the DNC proper. Should this come as a surprise? No. As we’ve previously noted, the folks running the show are in way over their heads. If the organizers are having trouble getting the big things right, like where to hold their big Labor Day party, why should we expect them to have the smaller details sorted out?

Bonus observation: Yes, vendor opportunities are a small detail in planning a very big party but it’s an important part in both how the DNC is perceived afterwards here in the Queen City and in what sort of economic impact the event has here in Charlotte.
