Stan Veuger of AEI argues that the IRS argument about losing all those emails from Lois Lerner (and other personnel who were probably involved) is as believable as saying that a unicorn ate them.
One question that the IRS spokesman should be required to answer is how often computer crashes have happened in the past, and in those cases, how often were the hard drives “recycled.” If that is a regular procedure, the IRS must have evidence to show that the recycling of computer hard drives is standard procedure. Otherwise, we’d have to believe that this is an unprecedented instance, which is about as believable as someone claiming to see unicorns.
