A statue commissioned in Sacramento, Calif., to memorialize service dogs was delivered from the sculptor with genitals intact. This upset one Dan Nender, supporter of a piece of failed legislation that would have mandated castration of any animal over 6 months old. He has sued to have the genitals removed from the marble statue. To his credit, sculptor Fidel Marquez of Hemingford, Nebraska, has held his ground:

Marquez, who has already refused to alter his monument, says, “This is ridiculous. I’ll put the damn thing on my lawn before I `neuter’ it.”

Nender, reacting in the reasonable way that most lefties react when they don’t get their way, decided that vigilantism was the way to go:

“Frankly, it doesn’t matter what the artist wants, or for that matter whether the lawsuit succeeds,” countered Nender. “This is the will of the people…and don’t ask me which people, and we’re going to carry it out. If this guy doesn’t want to do the work himself, we’ll sneak in there at night and use a Saws-All on it.”

First they target real dogs, then marble dogs. Can conservative gun-totin’, meat eatin’ males be far behind?
