Burlington Times-News reports:
The U.S. Department of Justice “is commencing an investigation concerning allegations of discriminatory policing and unconstitutional searches and seizures” by the Alamance County Sheriff’s department, according to a letter sent to County Attorney Clyde Albright, sheriff’s spokesman Randy Jones said Thursday.
It’s not clear who made allegations, but —as you can imagine —– speculation is it has something to do with Alamance’s participation in the federal 287 (g) program,
