Alamance County Attorney Clyde Albright postponed interviews and ride-alongs with sheriff’s deputies as part of the Justice Department’s investigation of racial profiling by the sheriff’s office.

After establishing ground rules for the investigation and exchanging documentation, Albright proposed taking “at least 60 days to review each other’s documents and make any supplemental document requests as necessary or desirable.”

I’m not looking at my calendar, but something tells me that’s gonna run pretty close to the November election. Sheriff Terry Johnson is running for reelection, don’t you know.
