It took six months, but the state AG office has finally spit out an opinion on the issue of admitting illegal aliens to North Carolina public colleges and universities. And surprise it is released just as soon polls closed, too. Safety first.

That opinion? Unless the state expressly passes a law to allow illegals to attend public colleges, federal law does not require them to receive the public benefit of post K-12 education.

This runs exactly counter to policy at CPCC which expressly provides an “undocumented” check box on its application. This should be fun.
