Greensboring doesn’t find the ugly incident at Guilford College all that shocking:
I guess what I’m trying to say is Guilford College, despite the traditional buildings, and respected namesake enrolls the most partying, screwed up kids out of any school locally. They used to say there was 2 ways to get into Guilford. One was to get good grades, and the second was to be rich. Since most people with good grades wouldn’t choose Guilford, guess what most of the students are? That’s right, spoiled rich kids, who can’t cut it anywhere else. So you go ahead and act surprised, that some college students got a little bit drunk and beat the crap out of someone because of there race. Yes it’s wrong, completely wrong, but don’t be fooled, students of Guilford college don’t go there because it’s there first choice; they go there, because they’ve screwed up somewhere else, and this is the only college who will take a bribe to overlook their past.
It’s also important to remember that at most universities athletes, especially football players, generally don’t represent the student body as a whole. But that group wasn’t well-represented at yesterday’s news conference by those students holding signs saying “liar” and “cover up” before college officials had really sorted the details of the assault. The bottom line is charges were filed and the judicial process has been set in motion.
