That?s what Top Gear hosts conclude after testing cars from the former Soviet Union, East Germany, Poland, and other countries in Eastern Europe.

In this segment, a ?Marxist? British car races a ?Leninist? Soviet one, and the hosts compare Russian workers with British auto workers and criticize the latter?s work ethic.

The hosts also test a more plush Soviet model that never was driven by the ?proletariat?; they marvel that the backseat had enough room to cut up ?at least thirty dissidents.?

In the end, the Brits are rescued from a ditch by a ?decadent, capitalist? Land Rover which no doubt was driven by an elitist with aspirations to improve his standard of living someday.  Here is the clip.
