Nikki Pons of SMCFTPA said TDA funding to promote the Charlie Daniels and Kellie Pickler shows, which ran the weekend of the Rumble, had a major impact. Pons said 82 percent of attendees at the Daniels event were from out of town.
No mention is made of how well Charlie Daniels shows normally sell seats, how many other local venues he would be playing, of how the population of Franklin compares to the number of available seats.
