The lead item in today’s “Under the Dome” column provides another example of the bizarre nature of the bloated federal bureaucracy.
It’s bad enough that the federal government has suddenly found an objection to language in state law that has created no problems during the past 24 years.
What’s worse is that the federal government is using the power of the purse to nationalize traffic safety rules.
