Charlotte’s official NASCAR partner in Uptown real estate, billionaire Brian France, crashed his Lexus in Daytona Beach last week. A 911 caller said France was driving all over the road. At one point France hit a tree in restaurant parking lot. Daytona police spent 90 minutes with France at the scene, but at no point did they administer a sobriety test.
There was, according to the responding officers, no probable cause.
However, now that the 911 call was been made public, Daytona Beach police have opened an internal investigation into the matter.
