An Asheville police officer’s car was stolen and wrecked. The perp next stole a pickup truck to continue his getaway, and smashed another cop car in the attempt. The suspect fled on foot and remains at large. The press release informs us it is a serious offense to take a cop car. Translated, that means it is OK for criminals to keep taking and ruining The Wee People’s stuff. APD will say they’re building cases.
