Very sad news that former Charlotte Observer editorial cartoonist Doug Marlette has died.
Marlette was a passenger in a car crash in Mississippi. The accident took place this morning.
I didn’t always agree with Marlette during his stint in Charlotte in the 70s and 80s, but he was very talented and absolutely pushed the envelope to help the community talk about issues that otherwise may have stayed behind closed doors.
