Driving down Eugene Street, today, I noticed a white car with the license tag ‘OZ’ sitting on the parking lot of the Guilford County Schools administration building. The car’s owner would be GCS co-interim superintendent Sharon Ozment, working on a Sunday. I’m sure she’ll be glad when the school board hires a new superintendent.

Then, on the way back down Eugene, an unmarked (silver Chevy Tahoe) police vehicle pulled over a car right before the I-40 ramp. As two officers approached the car, the driver, an oldtimer in a pink golf shirt, got out to meet them. One of the cops shouted at him, in no uncertain terms, to get back in his car. He got back in his car. I kept driving.
