The Thomasville City Council has approved a new contract for City Manager Kelly Craver that implements a drug test.
The new contract was approved following months of negotiations in the wake of Craver’s arrest for possession of marijuana over New Year’s weekend. Craver passed a drug test following his arrest and was later acquitted of the charges.
T’ville mayoral candidate Earl Harrison sees political maneuvering behind the council’s action, but this has been an issue since Craver’s arrest.
