As though the social burden of pharmaceuticals wasn’t already high
enough, now society has gained a “burden” for short people.
Evidently if we’re short as teens, even if we eventually catch up to
the norm, we face a life of social and economic disadvantage that is
just as critical as the race or gender inequity.

So the drug manufacturers and their friends at the FDA have decided this is a problem for which they have a solution (although at a cost of money and possible side-effects).

Perhaps
there are some innovators on this blog who would take the
Alice-in-Wonderland initiative and market a drug to keep people
short.  Short is more economical, we require smaller living spaces
and furnishings, we use less material in our clothing and we might even
eat less.  I think there is a marketing opporunity here.
