The Duke Lacrosse Investigation Committee is meeting right now at City Hall. I was planning to live-blog it but I have a newspaper to get out so I’ll just be listening in and maybe posting occasionally during the day. My first reaction, as the panel is introducing itself is that this could go two ways: There is some real expertise up there on the dais and they could really rip the Durham Police Department, but 2) all that expertise makes it easier to whitewash the whole thing and get away with it.
