Sports Business Daily reports that both Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Richard Childress Racing have licensed the Earnhardt name and No. 3 for use on new coasters at Kings Dominion and Carowinds. A $25m. 305-foot tall attraction has already been announced for the Virginia theme park. Earlier this week York County officials extended a property tax break to theme park owner Cedar Fair with the understanding a new, unnamed $11m. ride would be built next year. It is unclear if that ride with be the Earnhardt themed “Intimidator” or something else.
