I love Earth Day. It generates hilarious stories, like this one from Durham’s Herald-Sun. I’d love to know how the writer could tell that marchers in Chapel Hill were being greeted with “friendly” car horn beeps and that the beeps “showed that people were at least somewhat aware and supportive of what the marchers were about — keeping environmental issues visible.”
