I am done trying to explain why having the city of Charlotte buy Eastland Mall is a bad idea. I will stipulate that if and when the city buys the damn thing at least one of these entities will have a hand in the property’s subsidized “re-development” — Crosland, Pappas, Cherokee Investment Partners.
Somebody is flogging this puppy behind the scenes and as usual taxpayers are out of the loop.
