Following the posting of Don Carrington‘s Carolina Journal Exclusive on the web – and the subsequent link-backs to the story by Lucianne.com, the Drudge Report, Townhall.com, the American Spectator, and others – our websites’ exploded, shutting down the system for most of Friday. Our web service estimates that we had over 250,000 page views on Friday and Saturday! Why the hype? Learning that presidential hopeful, John Edwards owns the most valuable, and perhaps the largest, property in Orange County drew quite a bit of attention.  Thousands of viewers flocked to the site, hoping to read the story and get a glimpse of an aerial shot of the compound that was included with the story. The question now buzzing around the Internet: Can John Edwards’s “Two America’s” fit into at least one wing of his house? You’d think that after directing the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity, Edwards might be more inclined to give back to the community, instead of talking about what socialistic rule should be forced on everyone else. The CJ explosion follows Don’s investigation into the property value of Gov. Mike Easley’s Cannonsgate lot, which provided the fodder for 27 news stories across the state. Seems like NC is brimming with newsworthy stories.  Let’s not forget ‘ol Nifong, who every day seems to be defending another ethics violation. On WBAL-AM Baltimore, Jeff Taylor supplied a list of state bar grievances to the listening audience.
