There’s no better proof that the mainstream media is the least equipped to translate reality to us than this: Editors at the Dallas Morning News are surprised at the anger engendered by their choice of the illegal immigrant as “Texan of the Year.”

Further showing how non-reality based (or delusional, maybe) the editors at the DMN are, they claim their choice was “un-PC” when, in actuality, it was the most PC choice they possibly could have made:

We devoted some 3,000 words in last Sunday’s Points section to explaining the “why” behind this most un-PC of choices. And, yes, we expected a great deal of pushback against the idea.

Still, the intensity of that pushback did surprise us. Now that a week has gone by, it seems like good time to reflect a bit on what happened and why.

Message to MSM editors: Just because some clueless thing you do in print upsets your readers doesn’t mean it’s politically incorrect.
