Today at page W11 of the Wall Street Journal two humorous blurbs pop up under the regular Tony & Tacky feature. First there is a passage taken from the course description of ?MSS 118? offered at Franklin & Marshall College. It begins, ?Does your dog think? Does your dog have emotions?? Perhaps the F&M folks have been reading Sanders? coverage of North Carolina?s course offerings.

On a more positive note, UNC-W professor Mike S. Adams is featured. From a recent handout to his students, he says ?If your cell phone goes off in class or you are late to class you must write a 2,500-word paper (minimum) entitled ?The Death of Civility at the Postmodern University.??You will receive no other cedit for completing this project, except of course, for its positive impact upon your character.? Ouch.
