Lindalyn Kakadelis of the N.C. Education Alliance has shared her expertise recently through various formats. Kakadelis urged the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education in a recent presentation to use caution in developing a districtwide “bullying” policy. She promoted adoption of a clear definition of “bullying” within a concise policy that avoids creation of protected classes pushed by outside special interest groups. Kakadelis also traveled to Columbia, S.C., to serve on a panel discussing charter schools. That appearance was part of the U.S. Department of Education’s “Regional Summit of Innovations in Education.” Kakadelis also joined Lockwood Phillips on WTKF Radio to discuss the potential implications in North Carolina of recent California decisions involving homeschooling. Meanwhile, JLF Education Policy Analyst Terry Stoops also shared his expertise about school size in an interview with The Alamance News.
